Meanwhile, the peace process between the Taliban and the United States collapsed and it is unclear how much the Taliban is willing to give way, and whether it is enough to ensure lasting peace in the war-torn country. Against this background, the Delegation for relations with Afghanistan aims to keep the country high on the agenda.

It is convinced that Afghanistan deserves the EU's continuous political and financial support, and this is also in the EU's best interests.

In this context, the delegation participated as the only parliamentary body at the Brussels Donors' Conference of October and expressed its support. In return, the EU rightly expects that Afghanistan will deliver results in various policy fields. Much progress has already been achieved; nevertheless, a lot still needs to be done. As a democratically directly elected body, the delegation believes that the European Parliament should accompany and scrutinise the EU's involvement in Afghanistan. The Delegation for relations with Afghanistan is a standing body of the European Parliament, which I have the privilege of chairing since 26 September for the second legislative term.

The delegation meets regularly in Brussels and Strasbourg with various interlocutors to discuss a broad range of issues. When visiting Kabul, it holds an inter-parliamentary meeting IPM with the Afghan Wolesi Jirga Lower House and many other gatherings with national and international stakeholders. The Long Road to Peace in Afghanistan

Walk up to the edge of the fort and you will have an amazing view of Wakhan valley. Further up the hillside are located the hot springs of Bibi Fatima with its crystal waters rich in minerals. Walk back to your car and drive to Langar village. Duration: 14 hoursNo meals included on this day. Travel to Kargush pass, 2hrs. Road follows the river Pamir all the way to Kargush checkpoint with the chance to admire the Big Pamir of Afghanistan with nomadic Afghan Kyrgyz caravans.

Arrival at the Kargush pass and start the hrs trek to Panorama Ridge at meters. While walking up, two small lakes behind you at roadside open up to cheer you. Enjoy the stunning mountain scenery of Great Pamir on Afghan border on the top of pass. Walk back to your car. Take another side trip to see alpine lakes Bulunkul Yashilkul. Drive to Alichur village, 1 hr. We take a detour to Observatory Hill. You will see a nice view of Muztagh Ata peak of China on top of the hill if no clouds in the sky. Down the hill, there is a Soviet truck full of skulls of Marco Polo sheep inside. Once upon a time, it was a hunting camp.

Back to the main road and go to Murgab village. Travel goes on to Karakul lake with the highest pass Akbaital m you will ever do in Tajikistan, 3hr. Take photos of glaciers on the pass. Arrival in Karakul lake.

Overnight and dinner in a guesthouse. Drive to the checkpoint, 1hr. Arrival in the yurt camp at the base camp and lunch in a yurt. Enjoy the beauty of glaciers while walking up to the pass. Back to your yurts, 2 hrs. Overnight and dinner in a yurt. Duration: 15 hoursNo meals included on this day. Arrival and be accommodated in your hotel. End of the trip. No meals included on this day. The lake is popular among travellers for its beautiful scenery and the clarity of its reflection in the water, whose color ranges from a dark green to azure and light blue. It was once an important hub on the old Silk Road. After the Western Regions were unified and ruled by the Tang Government, administrative offices were established here. Later in the Yuan Dynasty the Government repaired its old buildings and enlarged its area. It was in the late Qing Dynasty that the Government built a new city to the south and the Stone City was abandoned. Built on a mound of 20 meters high, all that remains of the Stone City today are some parts of the periphery of city, such as the gate, city wall whereas the buildings inside the city had all collapsed.

Your morning will start from transfer to Burana Tower. After visiting Burana Tower we are going to Cholpon - Ata. En route we will stop to visit house of woman that make kyrgyz traditional carpet from felt for long period of time. She will share knowledge of making felt carpet and show master class to us. Today we also we are going to visit Rukh -Ordo. One of best open-air cultural centre in Kyrgyzstan. Continue to drive to Karakol and visit Hippodrom en route. By arrival to Karakol take a rest and have a dinner in one of the most popular restaurant "Dastorkon", where you have a chance try ice-cream from mare's fermented milk.

En route we will visit Barskoon gorge and have a lovely picnic. After some time we are going to go to Bokonbaevo and have a chance to speak with eagle owner and take a photo with eagle. After arrival to Kochkor tour around Kochkor. Walking tour in Kochkor. Walking in Suusamur valley. Seeing real life of nomad people. Duration: 2 hoursNo meals included on this day. En route visit Uzgen minaret. After border crossing drive to Murgab through AkBaital pass the highest pass in our tour with the altitude of meters. Murgab is the capital of Murghob District in the Pamir Mountains.
